Abusive Head Trauma in infants, or Shaken Baby Syndrome, is a leading cause of infant mortality in the U.S. Some work has been done to develop educational interventions for new parents to eliminate this threat to infant well-being. This statewide evaluation will provide information on the effectiveness of the The Period of PURPLE Crying® parent education and media programs in preventing Shaken Baby Syndrome. Through this project, the Period of PURPLE Crying was delivered within every birthing hospital in NC. Please visit XXXX for more information.
