The UNC IPRC wishes to congratulate Elizabeth Hudgins, winner of Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina’s Donna Stone Memorial Award! Hudgins is the Executive Director of the NC Pediatric Society, and was Director of the NC Child Fatality Task Force from 2009 – 2014. Under her leadership, the Task Force tackled the issues of infant mortality prevention; school bus and road safety; linking abused children to trauma services; and many others.
The Stone Award was created by PCANC in 1986 to honor Donna J. Stone, the founder of Prevent Child Abuse America, and to recognize practitioners who embody Stone’s vision of community engagement, collaboration, and volunteerism to prevent child abuse and neglect.
The IPRC is proud to recognize her ongoing efforts in the field of child well-being.
