Katherine Gora Combs, MPH
Graduate Research Assistant
Katherine Gora Combs, MPH, is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Epidemiology at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and a research assistant for the Community Opioid Resources Engine for North Carolina (CORE-NC) collaborative partnership at the UNC Injury Prevention Research Center. She holds a master’s degree in public health (health behavior), a bachelor’s degree in biostatistics, and a certificate in community preparedness and disaster management also from UNC. Katherine’s research focuses on understanding the impact of major health policy, economic, environmental, and societal shifts on the growing drug overdose crisis. She is also passionate about improving the communication of injury and violence research to policymakers and the public.
