The Damage Podcast
The Damage is a podcast that aims to connect people with the ways injury and violence research affects their everyday lives. Injury and violence research influences laws, government spending, health policy, surveillance, technological advancements, and more. In each episode, join hosts Muhammad and Emily as they discuss an injury and violence topic, walking listeners through the process of research design, to data collection and analysis, to interpretation by the media and lawmakers.
Muhammad and Emily are Health Behavior Ph.D. students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health. They created The Damage podcast after conversations about their shared injury and violence research interests and noticing a lack of approachable resources concerning this impactful field.
