Linking crash reports to medical data in NC

IPRC-affiliated researchers are working with a variety of key stakeholders across North Carolina in a strategic planning process to determine how best to link motor vehicle-related crash data to health outcome data.

Shaping the narrative around traffic injury

This work involved creation and design of a guide for professionals who work in injury prevention and transportation planning to support their coordination with journalists. The guide provides recommendations to help shape and improve the narrative around traffic injury.

Strengthening Existing and Facilitating New Vision Zero Plans

The goal of this project is to analyze current Vision Zero plans from municipalities, counties, and regions across the U.S. and to develop a guidance document for future plan development that outlines attributes and features of high-quality plans. This includes building a systems perspective into plan development and implementation. Additionally, IPRC staff regularly collaborate with community-based groups across NC and beyond to support their transportation safety strategic planning processes.
